The Ossification of Bones

KANGAROO RAT SKELETON

  • By this time on day 11 the kangaroo rat is developing its spine such as the lower thoracic( somite 21-25),the upper lumbar is at 26-28 somites, the lower lumber is at 29-31.
  • The next day  the spine begins to form a spiral and the hand plates are developing
  • On day 13 the round head foot plates are developing so that baby Patrick can stand upright.
  • On day 14 baby Patrick continues growth without any shocking moments, he's just growing.
  • On day 15 all of the bones in baby Patricks body are ossification so that he is a strong kangaroo rat!
  • For Patrick to have healthy bone growth Freddy needs to eat a lot of protein and glucose, for energy and strong bones.
  •  Freddy can eat seeds from desert grass and mesquite beans
  • Freddy has to drink a lot of water although kangaroos do not have to, it will help ossification the bones
  • If the bones don't grow properly due to a call mishap the skeletal structure would be fragile and will not help Patrick
  • Patrick will be able to walk and stand properly due to the ossification process, if Freddy eats and drinks all the necessary things Patrick will be healthy
